Diana, born on September 7, 1948 in Penticton, passed way on February 19, 2019 at Kelowna General Hospital after an 18-month battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Rob; children: Jessica Hegion (Ryan Finley), Taylor (Chelsea Ward) and Graham Adderley (Nazanin Saebi); sisters Kathy Becker and Barbara Maguire; favourite nephew Benjamin Becker (Christin Uebing) and their son Leon; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family. The apple of her eye was her grandson, Lincoln, as she always referred to him as her baby. Di had a wonderful life as a travel advisor and spent much of her time seeing a good portion of the world. She was also involved with teaching in the travel industry at Okanagan College for the best part of five years. Rob and Di spent twelve great years with many friends living in the small fishing village of San Pancho, Mexico. She experienced the best of both worlds: the beautiful weather in Kelowna during the summers, and the warm, sunny weather in Mexico during the winters. She spent many hours in her Kelowna garden and loved the colour and fragrance in her flower beds and hanging baskets. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the nurses and doctors at Kelowna General Hospital for their attention during her time spent there. In lieu of flowers, we would kindly ask that donations be made in Di’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society, www.cancer.ca.
