Keat, Francis Paul

Passed away peacefully at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, on February 19th, 2019 in his 77th year. Paul is
deeply missed by his wife, Michele, his children, Laura and Kelly (Craig); his grandchildren, Alysha
(Craig), Brody and Azalea. He will also be missed by many other long-time friends and neighbours. Paul
was a long time employee with the Hamilton Wentworth Catholic District School Board, a dedicated
teacher, coach and mentor. A special thanks to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice for their exceptional care. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice at www.kemphospice.org or (905)387-2448.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held in the Spring. Details to follow in the Hamilton Spectator at a later

  1. I am saddened to learn of Paul’s passing. Paul was a teacher and if one was to stop describing him that way, Paul would be okay with that. He set the bar of teaching excellence at a height that few are able to attain. Most of his peers and students hold him up as the best worked with or were taught by. His style was quietly demanding. He expected your best because he gave you his best. Many students experienced a positive change in their academic endeavors as a result of the “Keat Affect”. Paul was a good friend that I shared many smoke breaks, the occasional beer and many rounds of golf with. We have did not see much of each other these last few years. I will forever cherish the memories. Hamilton has lost a great man.
