Pruner, Joan Audrey
At her home, Monday October 1, 2018. Joan Audrey Pruner (nee Chamberlain) age 90 years died peacefully surrounded by family.
Loving wife of Donald Fredrick Pruner. Beloved mother of George Christopher Pruner (deceased) (Ann Fenimore) and Karl Fredrick Pruner (Joanna Bennett). Lovingly remembered by twin sister Jean Allen, sister Barbara Phillips (John deceased) and brother Clifford Chamberlain (Karen) and by Danuta Pruner and Sharon Jackson and grandchildren Jeffrey, Jordan and Cassidy Pruner and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Richard Chamberlain (Olive deceased).
Joan accompanied her husband on their many postings with the Canadian Forces and, in particular, was a gracious hostess on their military representational appointments in Germany, the USA and Israel.
She was an avid reader who also enjoyed gardening, bird watching and most of all cooking. She was a longtime member of the Engineer’s Wives association.
Friends are invited to pay their respects at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 20 Young Road, Kanata on Wednesday October 3rd from 10 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Reception to follow.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada or St. Paul’s Anglican Church or charity of choice would be appreciated.
