After moving to Georgetown she became an obstetrics nurse at Georgetown Hospital, where she devoted 25 years to caring for infants and children, before returning with her family to her hometown in 1989. A lifelong searcher of collectables for herself and others, she loved the treasure hunt of garage and auction sales. Kay was an avid theater goer and attended many musicals from local theater to Toronto and Broadway. Kay loved spending time with her immediate and extended family and always looked forward to annual summer picnic and Christmas clan gatherings. Mom, we will miss playing cards with you, Euchre, Frustration and poker will never be the same.

In honour of Kay, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
